Descriptive Essay
I chose a picture from The Walking Dead to represent the setting in The Walking Dead. This picture has many features of what the world has come to, even though smell lines are not coming from the surrounding areas, it is very clear that a big city does not smell like a big city anymore. This picture describes the setting in my novel through the five senses.
The setting in The Walking Dead looks like a post-apocalyptic world in the southern United States. The way I drew this conclusion from my picture is that the roads are filled with trash and broken down cars. The second reason is that there are no people, or people in cars outside of a buzzing southern city. The final reason is that this city, and its surroundings are very reminiscent of Atlanta, and Rick says he is going to Atlanta before the trip to the city.
The setting in The Walking Dead sounds and smells like zombies. The way I know this from my picture is that there is trash, which usually smells, and there are bodies on the ground. The way I know this from The Walking Dead is that through the novel, the zombies make many groaning noises. Another reason from The Walking Dead is that through out it, people complain about the smell of rotting corpses.

The reason I think this is wherever they go, it is almost always abandoned and instead of humans, they find lifeless creatures trying to kill them without hesitation. Of course I am talking about zombies and bandits. Another reason I think this is because you can see each character changing with the world around them.
